Dead Cells Stability Patch: Less Null Access, More Monster Slaying.

Hello everyone! It’s been a hot minute… okay, a looooong minute… since last time. We’ve been closely tracking your reports, so we’re stepping in today to squash the most disruptive bugs weighing down your runs. While our team is currently head-down cooking up the next Windblown Early Access update (launching later this month 🔥), we wanted to ensure our Dead Cells gang gets the love and care you deserve. This Steam patch focuses strictly on game stability, and we’re actively working on dedicated console patches as we speak! Please find the full breakdown below:Crash Fixes● Fixed the most common crash when starting the game by adding memory alignment checks to prevent data serialization issues on 32-bit systems.● Fixed a null access crash when selecting Dracula’s boss cell in Custom Mode while using a fixed number of activated boss cells.● Fixed an issue where Wolf Trap failed to destroy both traps simultaneously, leading to subsequent null access errors down the line.● Fixed a null access crash that occurred if the inventory was re-arranged mid-attack while using the Flint or Bone.● Fixed narrative-driven crashes by adding stability null checks to the Doom Bringer speechdeck.● Added internal cooldowns to most item-pickup and inventory management UIs. This prevents “can’t replace weapon/active” racing conditions, closing out potential exploits and related game crashes.Localization● Regenerated texture sheets for Asian fonts to properly display previously missing glyphs and characters.Linux-only● Fixed controller issues on Linux by upgrading the SDL library to 2.32.10.Thank you all for your incredible involvement and for continuing to share your feedback with us. Go enjoy those crash-free runs, see you next time! 💌Cheers,Bidju & everyone at MTCommunity Highlight@nagurama_
